Chris Rice teaches Mixed Martial Arts in Birmingham, in a class he calls Sprawl n Brawl. MMA is a tough sport, where fighters are trained a huge range of standing techniques, ground work and submissions. Some of this can be used in street defence, but generally these guys are training so that they can get into a ring to have a few rounds against a competitor. It required high levels of fitness, and of course the ability to learn and implement new skills. In the video below, we see some of one of Chris' classes - as some of his students work up to a level ready for a fight just a few weeks weeks from the time of filming.
